Permission was given for Monopolise (GB) to wear a red hood to post, and for Obito (IRE) to go to post early.
The winner, Bravo Zulu (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Chester on 13 June 2025, where the gelding finished ninth of thirteen beaten 6¾ lengths.
David Loughnane explained that the gelding had endured a tough run on that occasion, having gone forward from a high draw in stall 13.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, David Nolan reported that Obito (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run for some distance from approaching 2 furlongs out, until approaching the final furlong.
