It was great to come here and win again at the Curragh. She seems to like the Curragh and is a lovely filly. Ascot didn’t work out for her probably on ground quicker than she’d like and a trip as short as she’d want to go. She ran over nine and a half furlongs at Gowran last year and we felt on pedigree that stepping up in trip would suit her. She was brave today and didn’t have the easiest passage through but won nicely. She’s won a Group 3 with a penalty so we’re going to have to look at better races. She’s in the Nassau, she could run here in the Blandford Stakes on Champions Weekend and races on Arc weekend. We’ll have a think and pick our spots but she’s a four-year-old now and will probably run more than she has in the past. P Twomey, trainer

The Raceday Stewards interviewed L. Morris, rider of Tasmania (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that L. Morris was in breach of Regulation 10.3.h (arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended L. Morris for two racedays

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning in to the home straight involving Lemsairbat (FR), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, Naomi Lapaglia (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, Tasmania (GER), ridden by L. Morris, placed third, and Uluru, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed sixth, where it appeared Tasmania ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. P. McDonogh stated that his race was run and there was slight contact. G. F. Carroll stated that he was never going and there was marginal interference

L. Morris stated that he was taken off his intended line. R. L. Moore stated that he had caused the incident and apologised. He further added that as soon as he heard a shout he gave the ground back. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found R. L. Moore was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended R. L. Moore for one raceday. In arriving at their decision regarding penalty, the Raceday Stewards took into account that when R. L. Moore initially looked he was clear and when Tasmania moved forward and the rider gave a shout he immediately yielded ground which mitigated the consequences of his actions

G.M.Lyons, trainer of Naomi Lapaglia (GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge had suffered from heat stress post race. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed that Naomi Lapaglia was showing signs of heat stress post race.
