she’s a fantastic filly and is improving all the time. She’s a very big filly and is getting better and better. Every bit of rain that fell helped her and she will go on softer ground. She will go to Longchamp now on Arc weekend for the Opera. She’s won a Listed, a Group 3 and now a Group 2, so it’s the natural way to go for a Group 1 next. The Raceday Stewards enquired from W.J. Lee, rider of Higher Leaves, who appeared to clip a heel and get unseated. W.J. Lee said his mount was running keen and clipped the heel of the horse in front of him unseating him in the process

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Naomi Lapaglia (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who felt he had used his whip appropriately. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of R10.3(e)(hitting a horse in the incorrect place) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays

The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Snellen, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who said he used his whip correctly and his whip landed on his mounts hindquarters. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards accepted the riders evidence and took no further action.
