The first fence in the back straight was omitted for safety reasons and the second fence in the back straight was changed from a regulation to a plain fence.

JOG ON jumped really well on his third chase start here and won comfortably in the end. The gelding is rated 131 over hurdles and his future clearly lies chasing, where he should win plenty of races, possibly over 2m - 2m4f.

LUKIE VICTOR is rated 100 over hurdles and was no match for the winner but ran a sound race. He can pick up an average beginners' chase and can pay his way in handicaps.

STONEHOUSE caught the eye on her chase debut here. The mare is rated 100 over hurdles and finished best of all here, apart from the winner. The mare looks sure to win a mares beginners' chase, possibly over a staying trip.

BURREN BEN, pulled up lame on his latest start, had a bad jumping before reverting to hurdles some time ago but put in an encouraging display today and will prove interesting in handicaps while Point to point winner MONA RI ran fine and can also pay her way in handicaps.

WHATEVER YOU THINK, a half-brother to Southern Vic, was backed from 14/1 in the morning and from 8/1 on track into his 9/2SP but failed to quicken in the straight.

Non-Runners were Gundagai (lame) and Euro Gypsy (throat infection).
