Limerick Sun, 18th Oct, 2026  A Boy The Kid he had a couple of good runs in bumpers but had niggly issues since, nothing serious, and was left off for the summer. He came back, as normal, three-and-a-half months ago and he has always showed plenty. He had run a blinder in Windsor first-time out, which turned out a very good bumper. He was running around in front today and he'll have learned plenty, so hopefully will improve. Myself and Barry Healy (owner) go back a long time and we won a Kerry National together with Alfa Beat. This horse is named after well-known Limerick slang.

Limerick Sat, 17th Oct, 2026  Political Stance Philip (son) had a ride for our neighbour (on William O’Doherty’s fourth-placed Dalmatic) so won’t be too happy, but I’m delighted to give Tom a winner. I’ve known Tom all his life, he had been with me years ago and now comes in three mornings a week, along with going to Enda Bolger and Eric McNamara. I wanted to keep Tom on this horse as he gave me very good feedback with him the last day, and told me to put on a tongue-tie, cheekpieces and to bounce him out. It made all the difference, as he had been a disappointing horse with wind issues.

Limerick Sat, 17th Oct, 2026  Bunker Buster He was very free, but that's the type of horse he is,. We thought he would settle, but once they jumped off, Philip said he was out of control. I'd say there's no point in trying to settle him in behind horses now and he's a front-runner at this stage. Maybe he might jump better the next day and we'll step him up in grade gradually. He's a nice horse, though.
