Apricot Moon she's a lovely, a big scopey filly and she was one we were looking forward to. When we saw the draw (16) we thought being first time out, and with greenness, it would be hard to do. In fairness to Billy he's great in those situations. He always rides the individual, rides to the pace. He realised he was going to be left too wide and slotted her in at the end. To do what she did, coming from stone last on the turn up the straight, first time out was good and was impressive. She's one to look forward to and I'm very happy. On paper beforehand it looked a solid maiden. We did like her and thought we had something coming. I'm not sure there's that much more for her; there might be a winners' of one in the New Year, I haven't really looked much beyond this. She's having a good blow there so we'll see where we go. Whatever she does as a two-year-old she's one to look forward to next year. We'll take it one step at a time and to win first time out was very satisfactory.

Major Power he’s a home-bred and it’s nice to win a little race with him. They have been running well all night, we had a second and a third, so it’s nice to get a win. He ran very bad on grass and only ran well up here. We use him now as a lead horse, and he leads the two-year-olds at home.

Corrienthes From that draw to do that, I'm really happy with it,. Probably six or seven is his trip really but he has natural speed, that's what Rory described it as. He was able to use it to get a good position and he wasn't stopping at the line. Obviously it's nice to get it for this owner and he's just a nice horse. Eddie (O'Leary) always thought he was a really nice horse and he always believed in him. He didn't sell in Doncaster (breeze-up) and I've been harassing Eddie for years to give me a horse. We managed to get this lad. He said he was one of the best breezers he had this year, he was right and all I had to do was not mess it up!. I'm delighted because my Dad is in hospital, he was in intensive care last week but he's come out of it now and I think he's going to be okay. It's a good fillip for him. I'm delighted for the connections. I don't know what we'll do with him, he may end up in another jurisdiction at some stage maybe. He handles this surface so well you wouldn't be afraid to come back for another race. He shows a lot of talent at home.

Buffer Zone We thought he was a Group horse in a handicap but they have to deliver. He’s been very straightforward since we got him and has gradually moved up the ranks. It never really looked in doubt. He’s a very progressive horse and hopefully he turns into a Group horse. He’s in the Ayr Gold Cup next week. It’s not our style to return (that quick). David (Spratt, part owner) and I will sit down and make a plan.
