Act Of God They went very hard early on and it probably suited him the way it turned out,. The ground has improved from yesterday, which is a help, I was pretty concerned when I was here last night. He's probably a bit unlucky not to have won his maiden before now. We might give him another run on the Flat before we got back hurdling with him. He's been busy enough, he'll keep going to the autumn and we'll see how he handles the softer ground then. I think he'll be more of a spring come summer horse and I'd like to have him for the spring.

Latrobe The main reason for coming here was that Lloyd and Nick (Williams) felt that it would be important to get a win under his belt this year and then we could make a plan for the second half of the year. He has options all over the place. He could go to Australia but he has options in America as well, there are places like Japan and there are big races here as well. I'm not sure where exactly he's going to go yet. He seems pretty versatile trip-wise as he's ran well at ten furlongs and also at one-mile-six this year. It was a messy race but he did have the right position. Donnacha said he always felt like he was well in command. You'd be delighted to get his head back in front. He won nicely. He's doing things right now as he's gone completely relaxed. I probably ended up going a bit slow for my own good but it's nice the way he switched off like that and he stays well in the last two furlongs, there is plenty in there. He's a lovely horse and I'm sure there are plenty of options for him.

Downdraft He's a beautiful horse to ride, you just throw the reins at him and he goes along at his own pace. Then when you give him a squeeze he is there for you,. He's an improving horse and I think the step up in trip brought about more improvement. I'll leave it to Joseph (O'Brien), but there is anywhere he can go with him - he can go anywhere, he is tactical and he relaxes, so you would have a load of options with him.

Chesapeake Shores It was important she won as she is a half-sister to Frozen Fire who won the Irish Derby. We'll chat to the owners to see whether or not she'll run again and we'll see if there are any races over 1m 4f for her coming up. It's good she has won today and that is mission accomplished.

Downdraft It went very smooth. My horse relaxed lovely and I knew he had a turn of foot. I was happy to keep sitting second off a slow pace and once I asked him to quicken he quickened well. I'll leave plans to Joseph but he's a smart little horse and he's versatile. I'm sure Joseph will pick a good option for him.

Camphor She loved travelling in behind and Shane said as soon as she got to the front she pricked her ears. He was very happy with her. It looked a very good maiden and everything was fancied in it. A lot of them had good form but her run in the Cork maiden worked out well. She appreciated that little bit of give in the ground, being a Camelot, and the rain came in time for her. We'll see where we go but judging by the others she could make up into a Listed class filly. She'll stay well. She's okay at a mile-and-a-quarter at the moment but will stay a mile-and-a-half.

Tipitena She was a little bit keen the last day in Cork but we learned from that to settle her today. She quickened up beautifully up the rail and that bit of speed seemed to catch them out. I have her in the Group 3 Munster Oaks (June 14) in Cork and she’ll probably go for that. She’s a grand big filly and is still learning her game. She gave a good blow there so she’ll improve again. That’s the quickest ground she’s run on.

Gardens Of Babylon He's a nice horse and he's been in good form all season long. It's nice to get his second win today. He was just beaten in a couple of graded races so he only barely qualified for today's race. Derek gave him a lovely ride. It worked out well for him, there was plenty of pace on. He's had a good year and it's nice to finish off with a win. We think he might stay a bit further next season and he's big enough to jump a fence so he has loads of options. Derek said he was flat out most of the way and he came good in the straight for him. The leader went very quick in Limerick and won so we were a little bit worried about him getting away again because he looked very good that day. Today was probably a hotter race and we had a couple of horses to take us to him. I'd say the race worked out very well for us and Derek gave him a lovely ride. The way he races and the way he finishes his races he should stay a bit further.

Downdraft He's a grand, little horse and skips along that surface. It worked out nicely as the horse that made the running went nice and even for him. It was a lovely race to start off in. That's what you'd be hoping (to go for a premier handicap). I think he had a little blowout down the back, so probably fitness-wise there is a bit more improvement in him.

Pink Dogwood She was just ready to start off and you couldn't be happier with her. The plan was always that we would go to the Oaks and whether she will have a run or not before then I'm not sure. It's possible but not definite that she will go straight there. She's a lovely mover, she would prefer better ground I would imagine. She seems lovely. The horses are running respectable so far.

Sir Dragonet He is a very well bred horse, he is out of Sparrow and has a Galileo pedigree. He has been there a while but has obviously been sleeping and that can happen sometimes. That's why we get them out just in case that is the way but it's nice to find him. A horse with a pedigree like that could be anything. He is in the King Edward Stakes in Ascot and we'll see where we go. The first winner (Pistoletto) has plenty speed and we were delighted with him. Donnacha thought he was a smart horse. I was delighted with Cape Of Good Hope yesterday and he seems to be well. We went there because we weren't sure about the distance or the track and he obviously coped with both well. Ryan thought he would stay further and we'll get through all the trials first and see where we are going. He can be there to go wherever now.
Gowran Park Tue, 9th Apr, 2019
Whirling Dervish A little juice in the ground is what he needs and he got it today which was great. Hopefully we'll head to the Vintage Crop now,. He stays well, he'll go two miles and will probably go further than two miles. Last summer we didn't get the ground for him and that's why he was so lightly raced. There are plenty of options for him and he'll be entered in all those long distance races. He'll to travel to England if necessary and he's a nice horse to have.

Lady Wannabe I thought she'd win first-time out last year but she ran absolutely stink. I don't have a notion why but it goes back to the old saying about two-year-olds first-time out. She was smart today and her sister, by Galileo, made 1.5 million at Newmarket last year so she is valuable and we'll be going black-type hunting. She toughed it out well and her mother was tough and won a couple of Listed races and a Group 3 race so if she turns out as good as her she'll be alright.
