Lady Princess We don't have her that long and she was getting a bit overlooked with the other one in there. She's always went well and had the draw and the run of the race. She handled the ground well and is by Exceed And Excel who has been lucky for me. The owner John Quigley is a breeder and just wanted to get a win to her name. It looks like she will go on to better things. Joe Doyle said he got thrown out wide and probably the ground wasn't ideal for Grammata either.

Sweet Affection She deserved that as she just got beaten here the last day. She's a very genuine filly and I'm delighted for her owner/breeder Joe Higgins who always breeds a good horse. Despite the fact that she's by Exceed And Excel, she gets every yard of the mile and five and maybe another furlong may not be astray. Hopefully she can win another one of those.

Musical Rue The (first-time) visor helped, and the fast five furlongs allowed Nathan (Crosse) to get her into stride early. Hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on her. She'll be out again soon on good ground or faster, she'd be in trouble on slow ground.

Global Pass I'm delighted for John Twomey and his wife Maura, from Newtownshandrum in Cork, as they are as kind owners as ever had a racehorse. The horse had such a bad year performance-wise last year, I made an agreement with John to keep him as a lead horse and if he showed anything we'd try him for John again on the track. He is a lovely horse to have around the yard and thankfully John has stuck with him. He was relatively inexpensive (5,000gns in 2018) and while it was hard to see where we would go with him last year, John was keen to give him every chance and I'm very grateful. Ronan (Whelan) was very ballsy on him and is riding brilliantly. We'll look for another race in two or three weeks and we can now pick his races as he won't be liable for ballot next time.

Sceptical He’s a special horse and so easy to train. I’m delighted for Jim Gough and James McAuley. They picked him out. Jim’s gutted he’s not here as he loves his racing but he has a good horse and he’ll probably go to Ascot next week for the King’s Stand,.
