Galway Mon, 27th Jul, 2026  Teofil It was the same race, I wasn’t here for that!. The pace was a bit slow for him in Punchestown and it didn’t suit him too well. Willie’s horse won well anyway but he would have run a better race at Punchestown with more pace. He was kind of doing his own pace there today and it worked out well. I think he’ll stay well, I’m also hoping that maybe one day he’ll win the two-mile Champion Chase, when he gets better ground.

Fairyhouse Wed, 1st Jul, 2026  Vanir I really fancied her coming today and thought she would appreciate stepping up to a mile-and-a-half,. She’s not easy on herself, she’s a hardy one. Will Hayes, in all fairness, does a good job with her in the stalls. She wears a blanket. She’s excitable and full of energy. Ben says a mile-and-a-half is no problem but we might drop her back to ten the next time. They went slow and she jumped well and was keen. He didn’t want to be there. She’s a big strong girl and she should develop into a nice filly. Hopefully next year will be another year for her as well.

Gowran Park Wed, 8th Apr, 2026  Matt Connor I’m delighted to get that. He’s on his way to Punchestown, he’s qualified for the Albert Bartlett Series. This race fitted in lovely. He has plenty of speed, Colin said he wouldn’t want it any further. He was drawn out wide and he let him find his feet. He’s gone up a good bit now (over hurdles), Keith (Donoghue) made sure to win plenty far on him! Hopefully, there is a bit more improvement in him. He’s small but he jumps great and he has a great attitude. He loves jumping. Hopefully he gives us a good day out in Punchestown. It’s a big pot for not an overly-high grade handicap, hopefully he goes there with a chance. I think he had a pelvic injury a while ago. He’s a box-walker and windsucker, so you have to manage him and get him out of the stable as much as possible. He’s called after a great footballer, Matt Connor, who was an All-Ireland footballer for Offaly but was badly injured. He was actually in Leopardstown to see him.

Limerick Sun, 22nd Mar, 2026  Something Noble I'm delighted with him and we were noticing in his work recently that while he isn't the quickest horse, if you hold him up, he has a bit of a gear. I told Eoghan to ride his own race, he knew they would go quick and I told him to take our beating if it didn't work out. He gave him a lovely confident ride for a 7lb claimer. Our horses are in good form, we liked the way he was going at home and while I didn't want to put pressure on anybody, we were just getting started today. He'll go over fences soon as he can utilise his four-year-old allowance and is a lovely big type. He is a Flat horse really but just doesn't look like one, and has now won two hurdle races.
