Flaming Moon It was nice that he stepped up on his first run,. Colin said that just in the last half furlong he was tiring, it was very testing. He's a really nice horse and was showing plenty at home. He's been working well with the likes of Warnaq and One Cool Poet. He did what we expected the first day, the draw was the only doubt then, and we were delighted with him. He has plenty of potential. Colin mentioned the Birdcatcher but it might be a bit soon. We'll see how he is but if we don't get another run into him this season it's not the end of the world. Who knows I mightn't have him still if I get him sold with a bit of luck. That's my first two-year-old winner and it's great to get it.

Rule The Sea He was working very well at home but, to be honest, I thought he wanted a bit further. He had a very good draw, and we kept it very simple. I told Paddy to jump out good and smart, and he carried out his instruction perfectly. It was the horse's first time in a handicap. He showed us plenty at home but he just took a while to mature. I said to Paddy that he wanted a mile or a mile and one, and that if he jumped well not to be afraid to send him and, in fairness, he gave him a super ride for a kid having his first winner. He’s got a future in front of him.

Born By The Sea That was well deserved but most importantly Rocket Lad and David are up okay,. A lot of thanks must go to John Bleahen who mentioned the horse to me, and my wife Natalie is into him with three guys from Moycullen. They had a horse with me before that got a fall and was killed one day at Fontwell. This fella will probably step-up in trip now.

Shared Ambition We've always liked this fella - he is a big strapping horse and we gave him plenty time,. He is related to a lot of good horses and I can't wait to run him in Stakes races. He has a big future and we always said we'd wait with him to fill up his frame. We'll probably go back in trip to a mile or 1m 2f in a Stakes race next. Robbie thought he was a bit green still but I was impressed he could quicken off that pace.

Magnetic North that was great and I’m delighted for Rory as he was to ride him in the Lincoln but the horse didn’t get in. He’s ridden work for me, and gave him a beautiful ride. I was surprised he got away with the ground. He toughed it out but Rory said he wouldn’t want that too often. This was worth so much and the race broke up a lot so I had to take a chance. He’ll be entered in all the big handicaps at Galway, and I think he’s more effective on soft ground. It’s not that I target Galway but I just have a lot of soft ground horses. If it’s only yielding (at Galway) the mile might be a bit sharp for him but if it gets soft there are more options.
