Dundalk Fri, 1st Mar, 2024  Bergamasco sometimes I think it is important not to get too caught up in pedigree and just train what is in front of you. It is a useful family and hopefully he'll get a bit more credit. he is a big, honest horse that loves a gallop. He has thrived up here, obviously gets a mile well and likes the surface. I think he is a good advertisement for what we do with a relatively small team of horses. He is just another nice one to have in the yard. He likes to come from off the pace and like any horse, it is important that he relaxes early and breathes. He came home strongly and I don't think another two furlongs would be a problem either. We will enjoy today and we have plenty of options now.

Dundalk Fri, 26th Jan, 2024  Bergamasco that's him, he needs to be ridden cold (in rear) and Ronan is very good at settling horses. He's a big, strong horse and I was happy to put one of the best around on him knowing he would carry the extra weight. When they steadied into the bend, I thought we might be in trouble but, thankfully, they picked it up a notch or two coming into the straight and it just opened up nicely for him. He'll keep going up here, he enjoys the surface and has very good form. I think he wants good ground (on turf). You wouldn't know what the future holds for a horse like this, he has been great and continues to improve. He's a nice, progressive type and he has definitely trained on.
