Cork Fri, 26th Jul, 2024  Morning Vietnam We have liked him from day one but always knew he was a little highly strung. He didn't have a hard race the first day (at Dundalk) so you'd have been hoping he wouldn't form this apprehension before his races, but that is what has happened. He lost his races before the start twice so we had to geld him, which is not something I usually do (mid-season). I held in in such high regard that if we didn't geld him, we'd have no horse. The lads at home have done a great job with him, he had done plenty work from stalls and we look to have him back. In the spring I thought he was made for a Molecomb (Stakes) but the wheels came off that plan. He is very, very fast though and now that that plan has changed, we are in no rush as he is a big 16.1hh horse. He is a beautiful mover, loves fast ground and could potentially be a good horse if we mind his mind. We have a racehorse now.

Naas Wed, 24th Jul, 2024  Facethepuckout that's a little surprise because I said to Colin that the horse is well but will probably just take blow, as there is a race for him in Galway. He said at the furlong pole he 'exploded' and went for girths, but filled himself up and he said he is just well. He's only won a head, he's an eight-year-old and is a fun horse. He's in the Ahonoora at Galway and might get in off a low weight. He'd carry a penalty in that or we might look at another ordinary handicap in the week where he might be re-assessed.

Fairyhouse Wed, 10th Jul, 2024  Black Forza He's a nice colt, he had a lovely run the first day at the Curragh. We were happy to come here and bring him back to six as he has a lot of pace. He learned plenty that day at the Curragh and Seamie was very complimentary of him there. It was very straightforward and he's a nice colt, he's learning all the time and still has a bit of learning to do. He's solid and mature and I'd say we'll kick on with him for the rest of the summer. He's a very good mover, likes fast ground and Seamie said he handled the undulations of the track here. We might go across the water as the summer progresses for a stakes race.
