FormscanBy Tom Weekes - POKER PARTY has been a little hit-and-miss but won a similar race to this at Clonmel last month and can follow up today. He has gone up 7lbs for that win but remains somewhat unexposed and with his rider again taking off a useful 5lbs, he looks likely to figure at the business end and the step up to 2m5f could also bring about some more improvement. Roja Dove has been in excellent form for Peter Fahey recently and while she is now 9lbs higher than when winning at Gowran last month, she is a useful mare in this grade. She has yet to win at this sort of trip, which a concern, but seems ground-versatile. Hanover Street won his maiden hurdle here in 2016 and while he might not like very testing ground, did run well on soft at Clonmel last month and this is a similar contest.
