36/1 Limerick brace for Leonard

Five pound apprentice Killian Leonard followed up a Naas double from Tuesday evening with another brace at Limerick tonight, completed aboard Avalanche in the Ballyduane Stud Handicap.
Leonard, earlier successful on this card on Branch Line for Andy Slattery, got Avalanche up on the line to beat favourite Old Time Waltz by a head.
Avalanche had only won five days earlier at Cork, whilst Old Time Waltz scored at Naas three days earlier.
"He's really a 45 to 65 horse so Killian's 5lbs claim had to help and he's healthy and well at the moment," said Avalanche's handler Thomond O'Mara.
"I'm a pessimist by my nature and the glass is always half-empty so I didn't think he was up!
"He's in again at Tipperary on Thursday and will then go to Killarney in July."
