Cranky part of Mullins bumper corner
Cranky Corner could be part of the Willie Mullins travelling party for the Cheltenham Festival Bumper in March after impressively justifying odds-on support at Fairyhouse.
The 8/11 favourite moved smoothly throughout under trainer's son Patrick, and quickened up when asked for an effort inside the final furlong to beat Hidden Crack by six lengths.
'He needed the run on his debut and has improved since. He's a fair sort and I think he'll improve again. It was a good performance to do that off a slow pace, and he showed plenty of toe considering he's bred to stay,' said Mullins.
'If he continues to improve he could be on the Cheltenham team.'
