Gordon Elliott doubled up at Ballinrobe when The Sliding Rock (5/1) stayed on best in the BoyleSports Rated Novice Hurdle.

Bryan Cooper sent her after Dedanann approaching the last and rode her to close with a furlong to race.

The pair claimed Dedannan (11/1) inside the furlong pole and strode on by two and a half lengths. There was a five-length gap back to third-placer Presenting Meghan (15/2).

“She’s tough and honest and Bryan gave her a great ride,” said Elliott.

“He’s in a couple of mornings a week with us and he’ll get plenty of opportunities.”

Elliott also took the 3YO maiden hurdle on the card with Zanahiyr who had Keith Donoghue in the plate.
