Junior Rattler (9/1) gained a first win since May 2021 when finishing strongly to land the Ryans Cleaning Event Specialists Handicap Hurdle.

Trained by Oliver McKiernan and racing in the colours of Keep The Faith Bloodstock Limited, the nine-year-old collared Hunting Brook on the run-in to score by two and a half lengths.

It was a third win over hurdles for the Arakan gelding.

Winning rider Phillip Enright reported: "He had a couple of great runs over fences last year but was a bit disappointing at Thurles when the ground was tough. He wants nicer ground and battled it out well today so it is great.

"I lost a great friend Mick Byrne during the week so I'll dedicate this win to him."
