Owners Britesavers Limited (Tom Jones, also the breeder)) and trainer Willie McCreery combined for a nice winner with Patuano at the Curragh at the weekend and they were at it again through Raven's Pass filly Mazzuri in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden at Gowran.

Leigh Roche was aboard Patuano but it was Billy Lee that was on Mazzuri and he got her home by a short head from Elysian Plains

They drew on by seven lengths from the third home, Moktamel

"She had to do it all on her own and it's only her second run. The first day she was green and she was still a bit green there today," said McCreery.

"Billy said he wouldn't mind stepping her up another bit in trip. She is a grand filly and it's nice to have one that will go on that ground. There is a big stride on her.

"It was a bit quick after her Cork run but we nearly have to run when the race cuts up a good bit."

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Shifted Strategy trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount may appreciate a shorter trip.
