There was a Willie Mullins 1,2 as Robin Des Foret (7/2) beat Fabulous Saga (8/11) in the Listed Dunraven Arms Hotel Novice Hurdle at Limerick.

Ruby Walsh put it to his rivals from the front on the odds-on favourite, but Paul Townend's mount Robin Des Foret was able to breeze up with his challenge in the straight.

Fabulous Saga had no answer from before the last as Robin Des Foret went on the prevail by seven lengths.

It was sixteen lengths then to Burren Life in third.

"He normally goes from the front but we went a good gallop and I was delighted with how he settled," reported Townend.

"He jumped brilliant and I just kept him on the bridle as long as I could. He handled the ground well and that opens up plenty of options for him. He probably surprised me now in fairness."
