FormscanBy Donal Murphy - Winner Takes Itall really caught the eye on debut over the course last month, and he is sure to prove popular with punters here. The son of Nathaniel needed to be switched to the outer for room from the two furlong pole on that occasion, keeping on strongly once in the clear inside the final furlong, finishing a never nearer third. He is upped in trip now to a mile and a half, and he can be expected to go close with Donnacha O'Brien in the saddle for his brother Joseph. Having said all that, the one I'll side with is regally-bred newcomer FALCON EIGHT. He is a half-brother to Free Eagle, Sapphire, and Custom Cut, with the former successful at the highest level. Frankincense disappointed on his second start in May, but the heavy ground on that occasion probably didn't suit. He is tried in a tongue strap for the first time now, and a bold bid looks likely with Ryan Moore in the saddle. Persian Lion has two solid efforts to his name, and he appears the best of the rest.
