Formscan By John O'Riordan - The Ross O'Sullivan-trained TALK IN THE PARK can open his account over fences. Having been handicapped over the minimum trip, the seven-year-old ran a huge race when runner-up in a Beginners' Chase at Galway in August. Subsequently third on his first start in handicap company at Listowel, the gelding ran well in a much stronger race when fourth in the Munster National last time. Smart hurdler Waterford Whispers has yet to replicate that form over fences but gives the impression that he has more to offer. It would be no surprise to see an improved performance upped up in distance here. Bet365 Gold Cup third High Class Hero has to be respected if fit and ready on his seasonal reappearance.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards that have not won a steeplechase before 5th May 2024 and that at entry have run at least four times in steeplechases (150 = 11st 12lbs)
