With Nolimit To be fair he ran a good race in Cheltenham, he might have just done a little bit much. I probably gave Harry (Swan) the wrong instructions. We took our time with him a bit more today. All credit to Josh, he gave him a great ride. I’m delighted for Josh, he works in the yard and he works very hard. He’s a lovely fella, he’s from good stock. He’s with me now for a couple of years and got us a good few winners. He comes in every day and doesn’t say too much and doesn’t give out. He’s patient and I’m absolutely thrilled for him, to win a Grade One. It’s hard to get them. |

All credit to Josh, he gave him a great ride. Barry O’Neill was supposed to ride him but he got a fall. I spoke to him when he was going to the hospital and he thought he’d be okay. Those boys are made of steel. We were never going to be using anybody but Josh if Barry couldn’t ride. The only reason that Josh wasn’t riding him was that he was 7lb wrong with no claim. I’m delighted for Josh, he works in the yard and he works very hard. He’s a lovely fella, he’s from good stock. He’s with me now for a couple of years and got us a good few winners. That’s equal with our best ever season as regards Grade 1s (12). Hopefully we might get another one before the end of the week. |

Western Fold That is great and while I was nervous of the three miles, the last two times we tried him over it, we rode him too handy,. We rode him cold today and it was a good performance. Some horses come to the end of their season around now but he has been busier than most and is one of the top five earners this season. We initially thought about going for the American Grand National, a race Zanahiyr won last year for us, and while we have tried Western Fold in open company in Ireland and it didn't work out, the American race is a Grade 1 so is nothing to be sneezed at. I'm not saying we won't go to America but there is also the PWC Champion Chase at Gowran in October for him too and maybe we could pot hunt too. The key to this horse is the ground and he is a stone better on it. He will have a little break now and while I'd love to go back for the Galway Plate, he might be too high in the weights after today. |

Master Haku He’s actually a grand horse. To be honest, I wasn’t even that keen to run him only for that fact that Jack is going for the championship. I think there is plenty of improvement in him, you can see the size of him, he’s having a real good blow there. Jack was happy with him and said he did everything grand. He had two nice runs, but pulled a muscle behind and that’s why we ended up missing so much time with him. I think there will be plenty of improvement. I might give him the month of May off and then see how we go. |
