I’m delighted for Richard and Suzanne (Kennedy) who are fantastic owners and we recommended Far Eadrainn to them a couple of years ago, so it’s after working out well. He was racing a little bit idly in the first half of his races and that’s why we stepped him up to three miles on his first run back in October. We thought three miles would suit, but we were wrong and he didn’t have the stamina for it. We dropped back to 2m4f today, knowing that he should get it, but I was a bit surprised how easily he won, given the horses he was taking on. He always had the ability and we’ll see where we go with him now and see what the handicapper does.

It’s always great to get a double, I think that’s the first one in my name,. We dropped him back to two and a half (miles) today knowing that he should get that. I was a bit surprised how easily he won it, taking on the horses he was taking on. He always had the ability. We’ll see where we got with him now and see what the handicapper does. He was 124 today and we’ll have to see where we go now next time, whether he’s good enough for some of the novice races. We might stick him in and see.

His jumping wasn't his best today, probably because it was a stop-start race. He’s normally a very good jumper, and I think a truly-run race would suit him better.

He’s been very consistent and has strengthened up a bit, although it was a worry coming here that the ground changed as much as it did. I told John to ride him to get home and he gave him a serious ride. He’s a nice horse and we think a lot of him. He’ll be a lovely horse going over jumps. We won’t be killing him with racing as he’s still filling out into his frame. If a winners’ bumper came up in about a month’s time we might consider it or we could run him over hurdles.
