After race at Curragh Sat, 23rd May, 2026 (1st)  I’m delighted. He’s due that and he was knocking on the door in some big premier handicaps. He gave me my first winner here last year. I’m training exactly 12 months and he’s been good to me. I have a couple of jumpers but I like the Flat. We had to move out of Cork because of rapeseed and I’m based in Kildare for the last four or five weeks. It affected us big time. They came out of it, but there are still a few that wouldn’t be right and we had to let them off. I’m right next to Kildangan Stud. We have good facilities, a swimming pool and a deep Wexford sand gallop. We have use of all the Curragh gallops, which is gold. I’ve 14 in training and looking for more. There are plenty of empty boxes and plenty of horses there for people to get involved with. I bought this lad in Tattersalls last July for 3,500gns. He had a real good maiden run against good horses. We’ll probably step him up now into a better class. He might come back for the mile-and-a-quarter race here next Friday. This place is good to me, I had my first winner here as well last year. It’s a lucky place. It’s nice to have a Saturday horse, that’s the dream really, and hopefully we have one in him. I have 15 riding out and it’ll be a busy campaign. We’ll probably aim for the Galway Mile with him, he has won around there and that would be the plan. Maurice Andrew Ahern

After race at Galway Mon, 27th Oct, 2025 (1st)  I had runners in Newcastle the day this horse won at the Curragh last week and this is great. I loved the look of him at the sales, where he was a cheap horse (3,500gns) and he has rewarded us now. He had a good run in a maiden last year, is a lovely stamp of a horse and has schooled over hurdles. Soft ground is key and he’ll go jumping now. I’m based two minutes from the point-to-point field in Dromahane (Cork) and was training in pony racing all my life. Previously I had been in RACE and rode as an amateur too. I’m lucky with the owners I have and I’m looking to get some backing now. I got my licence in July and trained 400 winners in pony racing, including a Dingle Derby win. We have a yard built at home, have a Wexford sand gallop and there are plenty of gallops around me. Maurice Andrew Ahern
