We bought him out of James Horton’s privately. Ted Durcan recommended him, he rang me one day out of the blue and said ‘there is a horse here that should be bought’,. They were having a bit of trouble with him, I think scoping wrong, and he felt that our place might suit him, being an open place and airy. It definitely has. We have killed him. We gave him a gallop up here last week and were very happy with him. The lads have been very lucky for me. Total Recall are with me since I started and we’ve had a lot of success together. We bought this lad as a nice fun horse for the winter. I’d say he’ll jump a hurdle next summer as well so we’ve plenty to look forward to. He’s a nice horse and he did that quite easily. Hopefully the handicapper isn’t too hard on him. We’ll campaign him up here for the winter and see what happens.
Adrian McGuinness
