Formscan By Mark Nunan - Gordon Elliott appears to hold the key to this and preference if for LEMMY CAUTION. The low-mileage grey was beaten by a pair of useful types at Wexford on Wednesday, but had previously won a maiden over this trip at Punchestown. He looks worth another chance. The selection's stablemate, Master Haku, beat two subsequent winners in a 2m maiden here last month before being well beaten over 2m4f at Killarney. He has to prove his stamina, as does Local News who was a surprise winner over 2m3f on her hurdles debut at Cork and has significantly further to travel on this occasion.

Quotes on Master Haku (IRE)
He’s actually a grand horse. To be honest, I wasn’t even that keen to run him only for that fact that Jack is going for the championship. I think there is plenty of improvement in him, you can see the size of him, he’s having a real good blow there. Jack was happy with him and said he did everything grand. He had two nice runs, but pulled a muscle behind and that’s why we ended up missing so much time with him. I think there will be plenty of improvement. I might give him the month of May off and then see how we go.

Quotes on Local News (IRE)
to be honest, she hasn’t been showing anything - definitely not! . She is a companion for another younger horse at home and everyone rides this mare, including my wife Stephanie, my dad and sister. She is a very pleasant mare but that was very unexpected. I suppose she is a six-year-old getting to the races for the first time, so had that bit of experience from home under her belt. She kept getting small niggly injuries which kept knocking her out, but they were nothing serious. Her companion at home was actually due to run in Killarney yesterday but we had bad news when on arrival at the course as the IHRB couldn’t find his microchip, so he wasn’t allowed to run. We’ll get that sorted, go again and, after today, it looks like he can’t be too bad!. This mare is for sale, although there aren’t many who like to buy small mares!. My father Joseph always had a few winners and I’m farming now so took out my trainers’ license a year-and-a-half ago. We are dairy farmers and keep a few horses as a hobby.
