Formscan - Pertemps Final winner Monmiral improved from his return effort in a qualifier for the same series at Newbury to finish runner-up in the Long Distance Hurdle at the same venue. The eight-year-old warrants plenty of respect but he does face a stiff task against some interesting opponents with CLOUD DANCER getting the nod. The step up to 3m at Doncaster last time saw him take a big step forward and a 6lb rise doesn't appear overly harsh. Transmission bids to repeat his remarkable success in this event from 12 months ago.
