The Jim Bolger-trained New Approach filly led over two-furlongs out on that occasion, staying on strongly to easily beat some well regarded opponents. Open to any amount of improvement after just the one start, stepping up in trip here could see her in an even better light. She is taken to maintain her perfect record before connections raise their sights. Sligo winner Lady Mairen has plenty racing experience which should stand to her against this opposition. There is almost certainly more to come from the four-year-old. Third over course and distance on debut, Vauntingly should be all the better for that initial outing.

I knew she had come on from her run the last day, and I felt she wasn't harshly treated on her two-year-old form. I felt that, with a clear run around, she'd go close and I'm delighted to win this race. I won before for Robert With Rosscarbery (in 2022). I had her in the Vintage Tipple (at Gowran on Tuesday) which might have seemed like tilting at windmills before today, but I do think she's capable of getting black type at anywhere between a mile and a-quarter and a mile-six. My horses seem to be coming to hand, which is great.
