Leaving the stalls, Red Snapper (GB), unplaced, jumped left-handed causing Halla Bil Zain (IRE), unplaced, Takeitorleaveit (IRE), unplaced, and Rawalpindi Express (IRE), placed fourth, to be crowded for room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference a furlong after the start, involving Blooming Legend (IRE), placed third, ridden by Benoit De La Sayette, Eschweiler (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Tom Queally, Red Snapper (GB) (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ben Ffrench Davis, and Whinbarrow (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Callum Hutchinson.
The interference was found to be accidental in that a free running Eschweiler (IRE) shifted left-handed off the heels of the winner Who Is Alice (GB), giving a bump to Whinbarrow (IRE) and in turn cause Whinbarrow (IRE) and Blooming Legend (IRE), to make contact and become unbalanced and furthermore make contact and turn the hind quarters of Red Snapper (GB).
