Permission was given for Urblereagh (FR) to wear a red hood to the start.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Morning Mayhem (GB), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
Nick Scholfield was interviewed.
His comments that the gelding lost its action in what he considered to be tacky Soft, Good to Soft in places ground at Chepstow and felt that Morning Mayhem (GB) was better suited by today’s Heavy ground which in his opinion was riding loose, were noted.
The performance of Little Venice (GB), which finished unplaced, beaten by 28¾ lengths, was considered.
Neil Mulholland’s explanation that the filly may be feeling the effects of having three runs within quick succession of one another was noted.
Following the race, Conor Ring reported that Oasis Sunrise (IRE), which was pulled up, jumped poorly.
