An enquiry was held to consider two pieces of interference in the home straight involving Chicago Storm (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Mr Robbie David and Casi Crudo (GB), placed third, ridden by Kielan Woods.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur, Mr David was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
In the first instance, on approach to second last hurdle, Mr David was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift marginally left-handed when insufficiently clear of Casi Crudo (GB), causing Woods to steady and switch his gelding for clear running to the outside.
In the second incident, the Stewards found the interference to be accidental as Chicago Storm (GB) had shifted right-handed when running around in front, despite Mr David’s best efforts to correct the gelding, resulting in Casi Crudo (GB) being carried off its intended line.
Mr Robbie David, the rider of Chicago Storm (GB), placed fifth, beaten 1 ½ lengths for fourth place, had failed to ride out to the winning post.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur, Mr David was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Mr David’s explanation was noted that at the point when he eased his mount, he felt Chicago Storm (GB) had no more to give and that he had already been passed by Culligran (IRE), placed fourth, and that in his opinion he had obtained the best possible placing.
