Permission was given for Motabaah (IRE) and Pasha (GB) to both wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Sea Regal (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jamie Spencer and trained by David O’Meara, which appeared to be ridden less vigorously inside the final furlong.
Spencer was interviewed and shown recordings of the race.
Spencer reported that following the strong early pace, a number of the field were weakening and that at this stage his only option was to move left- handed to obtain clear running.
Having obtained a gap to the inside of Tequila (FR), placed fifth, the run was then closed by Pasha (GB), placed third, who was improving to the outside.
As a result of this, Sea Regal (IRE) was denied a clear run, resulting in Spencer stopping riding through to the line.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, Jamie Spencer reported that Sea Regal (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run from approaching the final furlong.
