An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after possible interference inside the final furlong, involving the winner, Puppet Master (IRE), ridden by Ryan Moore and Stay True (IRE), placed second, ridden by Richard Kingscote.
The Stewards could not be satisfied that, with an uninterrupted run to the finish that Stay True (IRE) would have finished in front of Puppet Master (IRE), as the interference was minimal, with the second-placed horse losing very little ground and Puppet Master (IRE), always holding to win by a short-head.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
The interference was found to be accidental as Puppet Master (IRE) drifted marginally right- handed, whilst Moore was trying to correct his mount.
