Permission was given for Teddy Blue (GER) to be mounted in the chute, and for Paddy In The Caddy (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
First Street (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
Shortly after the second last fence, Moveit Like Minnie (IRE), which unseated its rider, shifted left- handed at the same time as the winner, Teddy Blue (GER), shifted right-handed, causing them to bump, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Moveit Like Minnie (IRE) which had attempted to refuse at the final fence, jinked and unseated its rider.
Nigel Twiston-Davies was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also been unruly and ran out on two previous occasions, at Warwick on 20th November 2024, and at Aintree on 27th October 2024, the matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Tristan Durrell reported that Asta La Pasta (IRE), placed fourth, ran too free; The Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had also lost its left-hind shoe.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Moveit Like Minnie (IRE) had bled from the nose, and that Paddy In The Caddy (IRE), placed third, had lost its right-fore shoe.
