BET HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Atlantic Power (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Freddie Gordon the rider of Local Derby (IRE), was unseated entering the back straight on the first circuit.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and was caused by Local Derby (IRE) unexpectantly jumping the road crossing, causing Gordon to become unbalanced and be unseated.
Following the race, Richenda Ford reported that the race may have come too soon for Atlantic Power (IRE), which was pulled up, having raced only 17 days previously.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Tommy Dillion (IRE), placed fourth, lost its right-fore shoe.
