He is a good horse, but didn't get the rub of the green for a while and he had surgery on a kissing spine. Since he started jumping fences, he is a different horse and he is entitled to win today's race with his run in the Supreme (Novices Hurdle of 2024). He will be better on better ground and his time of year is coming, so we'll place him as we go by. I would have loved him to go to Cheltenham, but one of his owners preferred to stay home with him and, with the slow year we've had, the horses are only coming back to form now. We're better off to get a winner here. Jack is at home with us three days a week, is now with Oliver McKiernan and other local trainers, but it is hard for these guys who are attached to small yards.

P.M. O'Brien, rider of Peaceinthevalley (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly after a bad mistake
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Peaceinthevalley (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards that have not won a steeplechase before 4th May 2025, other than one hunters steeplechase within the previous two National Hunt seasons (120 = 11st 12lbs)
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
