That was great and Shane couldn’t pull him up (took a long time for him to return to the parade ring). He was really well in himself and back up to seven I think he enjoyed it. We’ll aim at seven-furlong Listed races, and he likes top of the ground. He might shape up to a mile but he looks like a sprinter and is very strongly built. Mrs John Harrington, trainer

The Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Klute, placed first, as compared with its recent run. The trainer reported that she couldn't explain the poor run last time but perhaps the small field and the change of tactics by making the running today suited the colt. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
