The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, that Mr D. Doyle, rider of Weston (GER), had presented to weigh out at 2.5lbs overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed Mr. D. Doyle to take up the ride on this occasion. They were however satisfied that Mr. D. Doyle was in breach of Rule 198 and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined Mr. D. Doyle €150 on this occasion
Mr H.C. Swan, rider of Arch Empire (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled at the crossing
