Permission was given for Always Waving (GER) and Shady Bay (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 2 furlongs out when the winner, Sid's Annie (GB), ridden by Charles Bishop interfered with Tiptoe (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Hayley Turner.
Bishop was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he switched his mount right-handed to continue his run when not sufficiently clear, causing Turner to have to take a check.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference over the final furlong when the winner, Sid's Annie (GB), ridden by Charles Bishop interfered with Kinetic (IRE), placed second, ridden by Warren Fentiman.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Sid's Annie (GB)’s placing as despite being taken notably off its intended line and brushed on two occasions, Kinetic (IRE) rallied strongly late to be beaten by a diminishing head and therefore revised the placings as follows: 1st Kinetic (IRE), 2nd Sid's Annie (GB).
Bishop was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as initially both runners came together approximately 1½ furlongs out, thereafter, inside the final furlong, Sid's Annie (GB) drifted left-handed for a sustained period without correction, taking Kinetic (IRE) off its intended line.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Warren Fentiman was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
