Despite proving easy-to-back, Western Fold (11/4 to 7/1) comfortably accounted for 14 rivals in the Ryans Cleaning Beginners Chase.

Sent off the 11/8 favourite, You Oughta Know unseated Paul Townend at the second, with the Gordon Elliott-trained victor soon improving to lead under Danny Gilligan.

Making a mistake at the fifth, the 134-rated victor was pressed from three out, but kicked on again from the next, drawing clear on the run-in to win by eight-lengths.

Supported from 10s to 5s, before eventually going off at 13/2, Oscars Brother finished second, while Brave Fortune (14/1) was another four-lengths away in third.

"It was a nice performance, Danny gave him a lovely ride and said he got the run of the race. He had plenty of experience and his jumping seemed to improve as he went through the race," Lisa O'Neill, representing Elliott, commented.

"He always looked like he was capable of winning something like that so it is lovely to get him on the scoreboard. He'll keep going for the summer."

STEWARDS REPORTS

The Raceday Stewards informed David Harry Kelly, trainer of The Mail Train that a repeat performance of his charge, who was unruly in the parade ring and on the way to the start before being very reluctant to race and pulled up after four fences, may render the animal liable for suspension in future.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Tell Me Again trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and jumped right throughout.
