In fairness Sean Doyle recommended him to us and it was pretty simple once I saw what name he had, although however bad I am, the only person more pessimistic is his owner Niall O'Leary!. He is a lovely young horse, did it nicely in the end and the second horse is a decent horse as well. I got nervous after his mistake at the second-last but he jumped the last well and galloped out well. He is unbeaten and has done nothing wrong, so hopefully he'll keep progressing. . I was in two minds whether to stay in bumpers this season or go hurdling but he jumps so well at home. We definitely like him and I need to go and look at plans now, but I want to keep him at that trip. . There aren't many options during Christmas so he could run in Leopardstown's Grade 1 novice over two miles. I think nice ground is important to him.

They looked like they went a proper gallop. Sean saying going down the back he let yer man slip on because they had gone fast enough. He just gave him a little flick, he wasn't hard on him, he was happy going to the last that he hadn't really gone for him. When Paul (Townend, on Bronn) came to him he went away from him. Sean thinks he's a proper one and I hope he's right. He has changed hands and that's his first run for them, it was sort of a pressure day so thankfully he won. We'll see about Fairyhouse and Punchestown with him. He was in the Albert Bartlett but off his ratings he had no real entitlement to go to that. I think he's a horse that could improve, he's a very slim sort of horse and is just strengthened a bit more and he's only five-years-old. He'll probably get one more run and that'll be it. I'd say he'll handle better ground as he's a very good mover. I was worried about the ground today, he had won on soft but this was proper tacky winter ground and he went through it well. I love the way he went through the line, it was the same in Fairyhouse. The two horses he beat there have won since. I always love a horse that finishes well and he finishes out through the line well, he has a good attitude.

I'd say soft ground probably suited him. He's a big horse, by Gleneagles, he's had a run over hurdles and we bought him as a dual purpose horse. He had never run on that ground before but all he does is gallop. The way the race panned out, he was able to use his stride. He hasn't that much racing done but looks like a national hunt horse and you could see him jumping a fence. We'll keep him going on the Flat for this campaign as he's only four and we'll keep him a maiden (over jumps) until next summer. we'll probably step him up in trip. If he goes up a bit more he might get into one of those better races off bottom weight. It was grand to get that done after the last day, everywhere he went he got murdered.

She has been in great form all summer, she has won two and was second in Tramore the last day. She's a tough mare. Thanks to Ross and his staff and I've had an unbelievable year and had a horse finish second at 100/1 in Cheltenham. Even walking in today, there was a penny on the ground and I said to the lads 'pick up a penny and you'll have luck all day long'!. We won this race in 2010 and had a great night and we'll have a great night again tonight. The horses are on fire and when we started off training, Tommy came to us with a horse and has been with us since. You won't find a better owner and when your back is against the wall, this is the number one to look after you. We're pinching ourselves and are in shock at how well the horses are running.
