The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the last furlong involving Lady Plimsoll, ridden by W. Joyce, and Calamint, ridden by C. Geerdharry where it appeared Calamint hung left drifting into the path of Lady Plimsoll. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W Joyce stated that he got carried a little to the left but didn't have to stop riding, he further added that if he had the horse he would have been able to maintain his line. C Geerdharry stated that his mount was hanging badly to his left and he was making all the efforts required to keep his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
C. Geerdharry, rider of Calamint, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the last furlong.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards (70 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Apprentices who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing issued by any recognised Turf Authority and who have not lost the right to claim the 3lb allowance (95 winners).
