A three-time winner on the all weather, the Aidan Melia trained Satono Chevalier recorded a first career success on turf when taking the Book Your Navan Summer BBQ Packages Apprentice Handicap.

Prominent throughout under Reese Holohan, the Hanna Heffernan owned 6/1 chance came through to lead over two-furlongs out.

Keeping on well inside the final furlong, the eight-year-old beat Calamint by two-and-a-half lengths.

Reese Holohan said: "That's my 11th winner and I'd like to thank everyone who is giving me rides and who got me here today.

"I'm from Mountrath, Co Laois and I'm 16 - 17 in a week or two.

"He travelled through them, and I gave him a kick and a squeeze and he took off on me. He kept finding for pressure."
