'I'd love to go out again' - Rory Mulligan on riding down under Rory Mulligan rode out his 7lb claim aboard the well backed Masked Angel at Dundalk on Wednesday and reflected afterwards on a winter spell riding out in Australia. “I went out for two months,” said the Navan native who is apprenticed to Johnny Murtagh. “You need to have over 50 winners ridden at home to be able to ride on an Irish licence in Australia. I only found that out when I went out; I was kind of hoping I would get a few rides. “I did loads of track work and jump outs and things, and that has 100 per cent brought me on. “It is a completely different way of doing things. It is all on time and definitely puts a good clock in your head. I'd love to go out again.” Mulligan’s 30 career wins to date include the valuable Irish Stallion Farms EBF Sovereign Path Premier Handicap aboard the Murtagh-trained Rahmi at Leopardstown last September.
