'The Gathering' event at Dundalk on Friday Dundalk Stadium along with DkIT’s fourth year Public Relations students have launched their legendary Gathering event ‘The Louth Land of Legends Race Day’ to take place on Friday 3rd May. Cuchulainn, Queen Maeve and Dougall, the Irish Wolfhound welcomed Dundalk Stadium’s mythological themed event to coincide with The Gathering 2013 and to promote County Louth and all it has to offer. Joining Cuchulainn and Queen Maeve was Adrian O’Sullivan (Tourism and Business Support Louth County Council), Michael McCabe (Business Support Manager Louth County Council) and Tim Mullins (Chair of An Táin March). Friends and family from near and far are invited to gather at Dundalk Stadium on the 3rd of May which promises to be an unforgettable night of mythical merriment. Take a journey through time at the Stadium’s 'Mini Museum' providing a glimpse into the past of traditional Irish culture and heritage. Experience the spectacle that is An Táin March and enjoy entertainment of set dancers and traditional Irish music. Doors open at 5.00pm with Horse Racing commencing at 6.10pm and Greyhound Racing taking place at 9.40pm. Dundalk Stadium’s ‘Louth Land of Legends’ marks the final dual race fixture until 12th July 2013. A team of DkIT’s fourth year PR students are working alongside the Stadium to promote The Gathering Ireland and showcase the very best of what Louth has to offer.
