Paddy Twomey has his string in scintillating form ahead of Royal Ascot which gets underway on Tuesday, 17 June. He told Emma Nagle on our latest stable visit: “We like competing in stakes races and group races, particularly Group Ones. If we can have horses be competitive in those, that makes the trainer happy.”

Twomey will certainly be high spirits if his big four hopes can make a splash in the following races at Royal Ascot next week.

One Look - Duke of Cambridge Stakes, 3:40 Wednesday, 18 June

Twomey on One Look s preparation: "We’re headed up by One Look in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes. She's been great this year; she won the Group 3 Park Express comfortably and beat a high-class field. She ran the race of her career to be second to Porta Fortuna beaten half a length at the Curragh on Guineas weekend in the Lanwades Stud Stakes, so the Duke of Cambridge looks a good next fit for her. She's improved plenty from three to four. We're excited about her campaign."

Carmers - Queen's Vase, 3:05 Wednesday, 18 June

On Carmers stepping up: "We also will bring Carmers for the Queen's Vase, he's done little wrong, he ran a good race in Ballinrobe and he improved bundles in a short space of time to win the listed race at Navan so he'll go for the Queen's Vase and I'm hoping he will run a big race in it."

Rogue Legend - Windsor Castle Stakes, 6:10 Wednesday, 18 June

Twomey's confidence in Rogue Legend: "We have Rogue Legend probably for the Windsor Castle on the Wednesday. He's been great, he is Rogues Gallery's first horse here with us and he was second on debut. He won again in Cork the next day and he backed it up with an impressive weight carrying performance in Tipperary 7 days later. It looks like that's the ideal race for him."

Catalina Delcarpio - Ribblesdale Stakes, 3:40 Thursday, 19 June

On Catalina's Delcarpio's progression: "Catalina was very good, she got a TDN rising star in Leopardstown on debut and we ran her back 17 days later in the Group 3 Salsabil Stakes where I thought she ran a great race. She learned loads. I think the Ribblesdale is a perfect race for her up in trip and I'm looking forward to taking her there."

Additional Entries:

"Pharos Freedom would have options in the King Edward VII Stakes and the Queen's Vase and Admiral Churchill will have an entry in the Britannia Stakes."
