100 up for Henderson Nicky Henderson claimed his 100th winner of the season when Higgy's Ragazzo made hay in the Market Rasen sunshine. Formerly with Richard Hannon on the Flat, the four-year-old gelding showed honourable professionalism on his jumps debut to take the Caffrey's Irish Ale Juvenile Hurdle and earn a 40-1 Triumph quote from Sky Bet. There was drama at the first flight though, as Sir Pitt swerved left and unseated Daryl Jacob, who in turn brought down the Phil Kinsella-ridden Brink. Tony McCoy would have preferred not to have been in front so early on, but Higgy's Ragazzo nonetheless responded positively to Kayaan's sustained challenge to score by two and three-quarter lengths. Tom Symonds, assistant trainer to the Seven Barrows handler, said of the 8-15 favourite: "He needed a bit of company and when he did he jumped ahead of the other horse (Kayaan). "He did it well, such was the way the race panned out, and will come on an awful lot for that. "He could be a Fred Winter horse, but time is running out." Jacob was stood down for the rest of the day following his early fall while Kinsella was taken to hospital in Lincoln after suffering facial injuries.
