15 declared for Welsh National

The last two winners of the Coral Eurobet Welsh National are among 15 horses declared for the Chepstow stamina test tomorrow.

The field is headed by Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup hero See More Business who bypassed Kempton`s King George VI Chase in favour of the gruelling marathon won in the last two season`s by tomorrow`s rivals Edmond and Jocks Cross.

Take Control, one of three representatives from Martin Pipe`s Nicholashayne yard, is favourite for the race which also sees both Philip Hobbs (What`s Up Boys & Saxon Duke) and Paul Nicholls (See More Business and Murt`s Man) double handed.

Pipe also saddles the favourite for the proceeding race, the Worthington Classic Finale Junior Hurdle in unbeaten Live The Dream, who goes into the Grade One event seeking a treble.

He faces nine rivals including Jonjo O`Neill`s unbeaten gelding Quazar who is on a run of four successes.

Wetherby will be hoping for better luck on the weather front after they added the Castleford Chase from today`s abandoned meeting to a card which also features the Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase.

Today`s meeting fell to the cold snap which has swept through the country but officials are more than hopeful that the meeting can go ahead following a 7.30am inspection.

Clerk of the course James Sanderson said: 'I feel a lot more positive about tomorrow because it`s forecast to get a bit milder and it wouldn`t take much to shift it (the frost).

Henry Daly`s Behrajan, a course and distance winner, heads the 12-runner field in the three miles, one furlong Listed event, the highlight of a card which also sees the appearance of Royal & SunAlliance hopeful Barton.

Tim Easterby`s charge takes on four rivals in the George Gregory Novices` Chase.
