All The Girls quickened up impressively to spring a 40/1 shock in the Irish EBF Fillies Median Sires Series Fillies Maiden at Dundalk today.

The Tom McCourt-trained filly had finished mid-division on her debut at the course last month and showed the benefit of that experience this afternoon.

James Ryan produced the daughter of Sands of Mali with a strong surge inside the final furlong as she posted a comprehensive four-and-a-half length win over Castelluccia

“She’s lovely. She was very unlucky the last day, she came out of the stalls and starting plunging,” said McCourt.

“She had a very small saddle on her, I don’t know what sparked her off. We fancied her the last day and James was mad about her all along. He got down to 8-11 there and that’s light for him.

“On pedigree I was hoping the seven wasn’t going to stretch her but she stayed every yard of it and quickened up very well.

“She’s a lovely filly to do anything with.

“I was saying to one of the owners that the phone could be ringing after the way she won. We’ll see, we won’t do a whole lot more with her this year. We’ll let the dust settle.

“She’ll be very nice for next year, she’s a big filly.”
