A Law Of Her Own added to wins in a bumper and handicap hurdle when opening her account over fences in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase at Thurles.

The Peter Fahey-trained mare, placed a number of times over fences earlier this season including in a Roscommon Grade 3, made most of the running in this 2m2f event.

Sean O’Keeffe’s mount kept on strongly in the straight to repel the challenge of 5/4 favourite Theatre Native by a length and a half with Goodie Two Shoes a further 15 lengths back in third.

Fahey said of the 12/1 winner: "She was dropping back to a beginners' chase today and got a great ride from Sean. It was funny, there were a few lads on looking to ride her, so I texted Willie (Ward) and said take your pick. He must have had a few quid on Sean during Cheltenham!"

"She had been running in very good races and initially at the start of the season, we sat down with Willie (Ward) and Roddy (Winters, owners) and decided to aim for blacktype over fences. She did that on a few occasions and we aimed her at the good handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival, but she was unlucky as a horse jumped across her and knocked her out of the race completely.

"We'll go for a handicap chase at Punchestown now and it'll be great for the lads, who are local to there."
